Who We Are
The Crescent City Cafe serves members of our community experiencing food insecurity with dignity and respect. We are committed to providing a dignified dining experience; where a guest is able to sit at a dining table, choose their preference from a menu, and be served their meal. Since opening in 2009, we have had the opportunity to serve more than 24,000 meals to our community.
What We Do
From 2009 to 2025, we served breakfast two Saturdays per month out of the fellowship hall at Rayne Memorial United Methodist Church. With the support of our community, we were able to expand into opening our full-time PWYC cafe on Magazine Street. Here, we desire to continue serving all our cafe guests delicious meals with dignity, unite all individuals around a common purpose to serve their community through shared meals, and establish education surrounding accessibility to meals.
